Know Before You Go is a coordinated campaign to educate our community about the dangers of drowning and the rules of effective water safety.

The mission of the campaign is to promote water safety awareness among the greater Dallas community.
History
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, Children's Medical Center, Alliance Data, the Dallas Area Safe Kids Coalition and IPSSA have partnered to provide the area with effective swimming safety presentations and on-going educational information.

Test & Teach
Have your child’s swimming skills tested at your local YMCA.

Watch & Guard
Appoint an adult to supervise all pool activities. Add barriers around your pool.

THROW, DON'T GO
Throw out a flotation device or use a pole to reach a drowning child. Never jump in to save.
